Our Journey

Our JOURNEY
In God we Trust
Year 2000 – Inception

Imani Christian School started in early 2000 when 15 grand parents were left to take care of their grand children after their parents died of AIDS. Since 2000, Imani directors have sponsored over 1,000 students going through various stages of education. The support for these children and others continued at their homes with guardians until 2017 when the current management built the school.

Opened Doors

2017
Opened Doors
In 2017, Imani Christian School opened its doors with the aim of offering education support, counselling and care to the orphaned and extremely poor children in Embu and its environs. The main objective is to provide comfort, hope, opportunity, and access to a high quality Christian education to the students. Imani Christian School is the only school of its kind in the region. After the opening of Imani Christian School in 2017, the school has had two class eight graduates with 50 students each and a population of 200 students from class 4 to 8.

Need to Expand & Help More

2023
Need to Expand
Today, it becomes imperative to expand both our physical and structural frameworks. Furthermore, we endeavor to work in line with the government initiative of achieving a 100% transition rate from primary to junior secondary.

Support a Needy Child
Athletics Kenya Eastern region has partnered with Imani Christian Schools to organize a Marathon event that is scheduled for September 17th, 2023. All proceeds of this marathon will go towards the sponsorship of orphans and extremely needy children at the Imani Christian Schools, who may not have had a chance to realize their dreams without such support.

The event targets to raise Ksh. 40 million that will aid in this support and target an additional 200 students providing them with their school needs like food, bedding, computers, uniforms, textbooks, stationery, medicine, staff salaries and other essentials. The target increase of 200 students may go higher depending on the availability of more funding support. Within that week of the Marathon, we are going to rally the community on a tree planting drive within the Seven Forks Dams to mitigate on climate change.

Environmental Conservation

Imani Christian Schools considers environment matters as a major aspect of their well being therefore being at the focal point on climate change and its impact within the society. The management of the school has purposed to plant 10,000 trees within the school as well as partnering with the neighboring schools and the community around the Seven Forks Dams to plant another 30,000 in an effort to raise awareness on the importance of conserving our environment.
